We have a new puppy:Meet Rosie

Last spring, around Thanksgiving, my husband asked me how I would feel about getting a puppy. I looked at him and said, “Why?” That’s when he told me about a French bulldog he had considered buying the year before. We had passed at the time—but now, the situation had changed. The owner suddenly needed to rehome the puppies because they had too many dogs and couldn’t care for them all.

I thought about it for a moment and told him, “If you want her, she’s welcome here—but we need to make sure we’re both ready for the responsibility of another dog.” He agreed, and just like that, he said he’d be bringing her home soon.

That’s when our little family changed. We welcomed Miss Rosie into our home.

Rosie was cute as a button, but very different from Faith—our first dog and her new big sister. Faith is a two-year-old mini poodle, calm and a little dainty. Rosie, on the other hand, wasn’t even a year old yet and came in with a completely different energy. She was louder, stronger, more forceful… and very much a French bulldog. She snores (loudly), drools quite a bit, and has a playful, hyper personality packed into her small but powerful frame.

Now it’s the four of us—my husband and I, Faith, and Rosie. Our family has grown, and we couldn’t be happier. Faith has her own unique personality and quirks; she’s our little princess and definitely the boss. Rosie, on the other hand, is our silly girl. She can be a bit of a bully at times—though she doesn’t mean to be. She often uses her size and strength to grab toys right out of Faith’s mouth or paws.

Even so, Rosie is incredibly playful, sweet, and full of love for her new family—us. She’s still just a puppy, learning as she goes, and with a little redirection and training, she’s going to grow into an amazing companion.

Rosie has been a wonderful addition to our family and home. We feel so happy and blessed to have her as part of our family—we truly believe she was meant to be with us. We cherish and love her just as much as she has loved and bonded with us.

The puppy stage isn’t always easy, but I wouldn’t trade Rosie for anything. She’s now a one-year-old pup and still the sweetest little girl. Faith loves her too, and they play together all day, every day.

I’m so grateful that Faith has a sister and a companion. They truly entertain each other—running, playing, and chasing each other around the house. It’s so cute to watch, and it’s clear they both enjoy each other’s company.

Overall, Rosie has brought the perfect mix of chaos, love, and joy into our lives. I love the energy she adds—it’s been such a positive change for all of us.
